This is gonna be a lightening fast post…
’cause I made this smoky cauldron cake three days ago for my high schooler’s friend’s Halloween party,
and you can’t post a Halloween cake AFTER Halloween, right? (There’s gotta be a law about that somewhere… I mean, no encroaching on Thanksgiving season allowed!)
And I’ve still got to get my kids’ costumes all set and ready for tomorrow!! (MEEP.)
Soooooo here it goes…
I made a smoky cauldron cake.
It was super fun to make (even for not being much of a Halloween girl, myself.)
The kids thought it was super cool.
And I used dry ice for the first time. (Which was totally super cool.)
I therefore continue my “Super cool Mom” status for a little while longer.
But need to stop using the word “super” in just about everything I say.
K, off to create a kitty’s tail out of whatever we have around the house and figure out how to create a super cool fox face.
(Dang it… I did it again.)
See you on the other side! Xx
Here’s a little video showing you the “smoky” effect! …
And here’s a little video showing you how I made the easy, edible eyeballs!
Here’s one more video showing you how to marble fondant, and how I created the pebbled board for this smoky cauldron cake…
