For those of you who may not already know, we have been planning an event that we are SUUUUUUPER excited about for this coming October called The Sweet Weekend & Masquerade Ball!
I’ve mentioned it before, and you can find all of the fun details of this exciting weekend on the event page, HERE.
It’s basically a weekend of cake and cookie demonstrations given by a team of master cake and cookie artists from around the country… ending with a fancy, elegant and seriously fun masquerade ball!
And we’ve been having a BALL planning the details of this event (tee hee)!
The many prizes donated to be given away by the awesome sponsors of the event,
the group, old-school style dance instructions that will be given at the ball,
the surprise, special guest singer that will be performing a few numbers for us during dinner,
the fancy gowns and masks to be worn (’cause there will be a best mask contest, of course ;),
the special gift/ticket as admission to the ball to be sent and the goody bags to be given to all who register to join us…
it’s all been so very much fun to plan out, and we just can’t WAIT to spend the weekend with all who come to join us!
I’ve made this black masquerade ball cake in my excitement of planning it all, and have a couple of free tutorials to share with you in case you find them helpful…
(and the full, step by step tutorial of the entire cake as part of a membership to Cakeheads.com, if you’re interested in checking that out.)
Over the next few months, I’ll be mentioning the gift packages from the sponsors that will given as prizes at the ball, so be sure to look for those at the end of each new blog post if you’re curious to see!
And check out the details of this exciting event as soon as you get a chance if you’re thinking about joining us! There are a limited number of hotel rooms at the venue, and they’re almost sold out! (But don’t worry, there are several more options in the area to choose from if need be.)
We’d be honored to get the chance to hang out with you for the weekend and have some fancy fun together! Xx
Here are few free videos I’ve put together on the making of some of the aspects of this cake…
(Psst… Marvelous Molds will be donating a few prize packages as well as a simpress from their knit collention to each of the goody bags at the ball!! Squeeee!!)
And don’t forget to check out Cakeheads.com if you’d like to see the full video tutorial on the making of this entire black masquerade ball cake!
